Election time is drawing near and I cannot help but be a little worried that people I know- including family- have not registered to vote or are unsure if they are registered to vote. I think we should all take some responsibility to follow up on these things.
Here is my concern...............I am a proud supporter of the Republican Party and will be voting McCain*Palin as soon as the opportunity arises. I feel that everyone can make a difference by joining their community to vote. BUT if you are not registered, how can you be passionate about the issues at hand? Do you have the right to be upset about what official is elected? Do you have the right to gripe or complain? Do you have the right to be upset about new or changed tax laws that affect you or your family?...........................Well, here is my honest to God answer.................NO
Do not be ill, angry, depressed, pissed, distraught, or concerned. You made that choice when you decided against registration or when you decided not to cast your vote. Sorry for you. Maybe next time you will take it upon yourself to make your voice heard, to think for your future or your children's future. But until you vote.............you have no say in my opinion.
So, let's all be proactive. Register*Vote*and make a DIFFERENCE!! :)
