Arctic Blast 2010
What in the world? I wouldn't consider it a blast; however, I would say that we received a nice winter dusting for the first time in 2010. It was enough to cause a 27 car pile-up on 285. Then again, that could happen on any given day. The weather this winter season has been colder than any other that we have experienced in the eight years we have lived here.
With any luck, this snow will melt so we can get out and about.

Dallas Cowboys.......where to begin. After several losses, I think we can all agree that Tony Romo needs to put on the big boy panties and deal with the broken pinky after each game. Last week, J. Witten was injured only to find out that he suffered a broken rib; HOWEVER, he miraculously made it to last week's game against the Giants. Suck it up #9. You have a lot of fans depending on YOU!!!!

So, Oktoberfest in Helen, GA was a BLAST. Of course, there was lots and lots of drinking. Yeah, there was some consumption of German beer, but mostly alcohol in general and the fun and company of great friends! The food was good- the atmosphere was GREAT- and the experience is worth a Million! We had a blast.

Registered Voters

Election time is drawing near and I cannot help but be a little worried that people I know- including family- have not registered to vote or are unsure if they are registered to vote. I think we should all take some responsibility to follow up on these things.

Here is my concern...............I am a proud supporter of the Republican Party and will be voting McCain*Palin as soon as the opportunity arises. I feel that everyone can make a difference by joining their community to vote. BUT if you are not registered, how can you be passionate about the issues at hand? Do you have the right to be upset about what official is elected? Do you have the right to gripe or complain? Do you have the right to be upset about new or changed tax laws that affect you or your family?...........................Well, here is my honest to God answer.................NO

Do not be ill, angry, depressed, pissed, distraught, or concerned. You made that choice when you decided against registration or when you decided not to cast your vote. Sorry for you. Maybe next time you will take it upon yourself to make your voice heard, to think for your future or your children's future. But until you vote.............you have no say in my opinion.

So, let's all be proactive. Register*Vote*and make a DIFFERENCE!! :)

Friendship

"A friend is a person with whom I may be sincere. Before him I may think aloud."- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words." - by Donna Roberts
Thank God for friends that keep your spirits lifted when you are down. Thank God that even though time or distance may seperate you, you know that friend remains in your heart. Thank God for the conversations between friends for that is what bonds you, but most importantly for silence because you have achieved comfort and happiness. Thank God for friends like "my Kathy", because they are a rare find!
I love you "kitty kat"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
